Kenneth Ray Waits

Kenneth Ray Waits, 87, husband of Dolores Royse Waits and the late Norma Jean Juett Waits, died Wednesday, May 23, 2018. He was born in Nicholasville, Kentucky on June 3, 1930 to the late Robert Francis and Bessie Lee Thornton Waits. Ray was a farmer, a member of Providence Christian Church, the Beef Cattle Association and the American Legion Post 63. Surviving are four children, Robert (Melissa) Waits, Marlon Waits, Harvey (Linda) Crow and Connie (Kevin) McDonald, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and other family members. He was preceded in death by 5 siblings, Hartful Waits, Luther “Pete” Waits, Alvin “Buster” Waits, Nancy Ray and Harold Waits. Services will be 11:30 AM, Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at Betts & West Funeral Home with Bert Walker officiating. Bearers will be Don Thornton, Robbie Switzer, Jeff Switzer, Donald Waits, Randy Cox and Carl Waits. Honorary bearers will be Harvey Crow, David Switzer, Bobby Switzer, Charlie McIntire, Bert Walker, Lee Walker and Henry Waits. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 5-8:00 PM at the funeral home.
