Kennith Ray Tyra

Kennith Ray Tyra, 66, of Wilmore dies Tuesday, June 23, 2015 after a long illness. He is survived by his wife, Chrissie Hahn Tyra, three children Kenny (Reva), Kendra, Trent (Paula), eight grandchildren, Kirby, Bradley, Baleigh, Makayla, Shayla, Mollie, Colby and Justyn, five brothers, James Allan, Robert (Doris), A.G. (Brenda), Jim (Martha) and Rick (Diane), three sisters, Sue (B.J.) Perry, Willa (Jimmie) Campell and Rita (Thomas) Upchurch and many other family and friends to mourn his passing. Kennith is preceded in death by his parents Earl and Ruth Tyra and one brother Charlie. Kenneth was an avid fisherman, gardener and 'collector'. He was an active member of the Wilmore Presbyterian Church and its numerous mission projects. Visitation will be at the Wilmore Presbyterian Church on Sat. June 27, 2015 from 10AM until 2PM. Funeral service will be conducted at 2PM Saturday at the church with Beth Logsdon officiating. Graveside services will be conducted at 6PM Saturday at the Evans Cemetery in Campton, Kentucky. The family suggests that donations be made to Wilmore Presbyterian Church 100 North Lexington Avenue, Wilmore, Kentucky 40390, in Kenniths memory for the children of El Salvador whom he dearly loved.
