Larry Raymond Huff

Larry Raymond Huff age 67, passed away on May 8th at his home in Nicholasville, Ky. Larry was born in Lexington Ky to the late Sidney Allen Huff and Martha Seals on November 19, 1952. Larry grew up in Northern Lexington with his 3 brothers and was a Highschool graduate of Tate’s Creek High school class of 1969.
At the age of 17 He enlisted in US Army and served in the Vietnam War.
He later earned his associates degrees in Business and Management from Kentucky College of Business.
An avid collector of albums,cd’s and music paraphernalia, he possessed an encyclopedic knowledge of Hollywood movies and music history. He could quote any Beetles song lyrics by memory and proclaimed them to be his his favorite band of all time.
He enjoyed watching movies, sports, and was a huge U.K. Wildcat Basketball fan. He also loved the game of golf and used to play often as a favorite past time.
He had spent several years in Florida before returning to Kentucky where he later opened a video store, Video Solutions In Hindman, Ky. After he resided there several years, the downfall of video sales resulted in the closure of his business.
Larry ended up settling in Nicholasville, Ky where he became closer to his daughters and part of a family of close knit friends at Beacon Community where he lived for the past 15+ years.
Larry was often referred to as a free spirit with a big heart, big sense of humor, and disarming personality. He will be missed more than we can possibly say.
Survivors include, two daughters Karie Owens (Kevin) of Nicholasville, Ky and Amanda Wilkerson (Larry) ,two grandchildren Larry Jr and Alex of Louisville, Ky. Preceded in death by three brothers, Tommy, Eddie, and twin brother Garry.
A Celebration of Life will be held at BettsWest Funeral Home Nicholasville Ky May 23, 2020 @ 5:00 Pastor David Rayborn officiating.
His wishes to be cremated will be fulfilled and remains buried next to his twin brother on Huff Mountain, Pippapasses, Ky.
