Leda Newland Collins, 86, widow of Perry Collins, of Lexington Road, died Tuesday, August 21, 2012 at her home surrounded by her family. She operated Collins Antiques for many years and loved antiquing, gardening and reading. She was the daughter of the late Manley and Mable Newland. Survivors include a son, Eugene (Shelley) Hollingsworth, nine grandchildren, Ricky (Michelle) Hollingsworth, Tina (Ron) Eldridge, Renee (Christopher) Lange, Stacie Hollingsworth, Beth Ann Azbell, Kimberly Sohbi, Kellan, James and Michelle Hollingsworth, seven great grandchildren, Alaina, Cameron, Haley, Logan, Brian, Niosha and Hala, four great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Phillip D. Hollingsworth. Services will be 1:30pm Friday at Betts & West Funeral Home with Rev. Dewayne Brewer officiating. Burial will be in the Camp Nelson National Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-9 Thursday. Honoring her as bearers will be Ronnie and Kenneth Taylor, Clay Corman, Barry and Richard Collins and Steve Jefferson. Honorary bearers will be Bobby Gullette, Christopher and Forrest Plain.
