Leroy Thomas Horton

Leroy Thomas Horton, 66, husband of Mary Wilson Cornett Horton of High Bridge Road, died May 26, 2009 in Lexington. He was born in High Bridge on December 27, 1942, the son of the late John Cornelious and Gladys Frances McLaughlin Horton. He was a retired employed of the City of Nicholasville, a member of the United Holiness Church at High Bridge and a Mason, Wilmore Lodge #922. He loved to play the piano at The Barn in Burgin. In addition to his wife he is survived by two daughters, Vickie (Terry) Turner of Nicholasville and Kim (Jimmy) Miller of Lexington, three step-children, Carol (Brent) Hollis of Lexington; Terri Wilson of High Bridge and Tom (Denise) Wilson of Lexington, four grandchildren, Ashlee and Alan Turner and Austin and Josh Miller and six step-grandchildren, Ryan Dedman, Kelcie Hollis, Jacob Hollis, Hannah Wilson, Morgan Wilson and Jonathan Rader, a step great grandson, Bradley Dedman, two brothers, Richard (Barbara Sue) Horton of High Bridge and Dale (Mary) Horton of Nicholasville and other family members. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Saturday at Betts & West Funeral Home with Rev. Leonard Fitch officiating and burial in Wilmore Cemetery. Bearers will be Tom Wilson, Terry Turner, Alan Turner, Scott Bolin, Jimmy Miller, Ryan Dedman and Brent Hollis.. Honorary bearers will be Richard and Dale Horton. Visitation will be 5-8:00 PM today at Betts & West Funeral Home. Masonic service at 7:00 PM, online guestbook www.BettsandWestfuneralhome.com
