Leslie Meredith Parrish, 85, husband of Evelyn Jane Bennett Parrish, formally of Paris, died Saturday, May 9, 2009. He was born February 29, 1924 in Henry County to the late Leslie Ernest and Mary Ellen Wallace Parrish. Leslie was a member of First United Methodist Church in Paris and the Lions Club. He was a WWII Army Veteran. Additional survivors are a daughter, Deborah Ann Wise of Nicholasville, three sons, Leslie C. Parrish and his wife Deborah of Quincy, MA, Steven T. Parrish and his wife Terry of Hampton, VA, Michael E. Parrish of Nicholasville, nine grandchildren, six great grandchildren, four sisters, Mildred Hollman of PA, Maude Leigh of Danville, Patsy Williams of Campbellsville, and Helen C. Frost of Williamsburg, a brother, Woodrow Parrish of Gratz and other family members. He was also preceded in death by five sisters, Catherine Spicer, Josephine Payne, Ella Breese, Mary Bryant, Betty McCaudwell and six brothers, Boyd, Charles, Carl, Roy, Wallace and Oscar Parrish. Services will be 11:30 Wednesday at Betts & West Funeral Home with Rev. Harold Dorsey officiating. Burial will be in Camp Nelson National Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5:00 until 8:00 pm at the funeral home. Bearers will be Leslie Charles Parrish, Steven Trent Parrish, Jason Charles Parrish and John Michael Parrish, Benjamin David Parrish, Christopher Daniel Wise, Benjamin Patrick Wise and Adam Michael Wise.
