Lester Welch Watts, 70, was called home to be with the Lord, Tuesday, March 16, 2016. Husband of the late Elizabeth Ann Watts. A native of Jessamine County born April 11, 1945 to the late Wellburn and Rella Watts. He was retired from Jessamine County Fiscal Court. He was a member of the Nicholasville Baptist Church. He is survived by his daughter Tracey Petosi, husband Mike, two grandchildren, Lisa Watts and Jacob Petosi, two brothers Bill Watts and Charles Ray Watts and his wife May, a sister in law Ann Watts and Aunt Eudell Kurtz. Lester also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews and other family member to mourn his passing. Lester was preceded in death by two brothers Morris Watts and Doug Watts. Special friends include lifelong friends and live in caretakers Anthony and Cindy Ervin and their daughter Montana, also Robert Carson, Lee Walker, Bert Walker and Lynn McCuddy and two very special caretakers Eileen Deering and Crystal Morris. Funeral service will be conducted at 11AM Saturday, March 19, 2016 at Betts & West Funeral Home with Bishop David Marsee officiating. Entombment will follow in the Bluegrass Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 5-8 PM Friday at the funeral home. Casket bearers will be Lee Walker, Kevin Corman, Justin Dryden, Ronnie Hammond, Gary Pack and Tommy Hudson. Special thanks to Hospice of the Bluegrass. Honorary Pallbearers will be Robert Carson, Lynn McCuddy, Duane McCuddy, Mitch McCuddy and Earnie Lancaster.
