Lewis Chester Warren

June 20, 1933 — April 2, 2009

Lewis Chester Warren 75, husband of Janice Johnson Warren, died Thursday April 2, 2009. Chester was born June 20, 1933 in Jessamine County to the late Jasper Milton and Nannie Walker Warren. He was retired from the Parks and Recreation Department of the City County Government, a member of Christ Community Church and was one of the founders of the Jessamine County Adult Softball League. Additional survivors are his three children, Darrell Warren and his wife Jodie of Nicholasville, Jeffrey Warren of New York and Angie Keilman and her husband Dan of Indiana, six grandchildren, William, Jacob, Danielle, Raven, Amanda and Alex, one brother, Herbert Warren of Nicholaville, his brother and sister in laws, Roger and Rita Johnson of Indiana and Bobby and Carol Routt of Florida and other family members. Services will be 2:00 pm Tuesday at Betts & West Funeral Home with Rev. Donnie Adkinson, Rev. Powell Whitlock and Rev. Billy Peel officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 am until time of service Tuesday. Bearers will be Jacob and Mike Warren, Roger Johnson Jr., Charles Johnson Jr., Danny Hammond and Hugh Stotts. Honorary bearers will be Roger Johnson, Bobby Routt,Gene Goldey and Bill Thomas. The family would like to give special thanks to Hospice of the Bluegrass.
