Linvell Arkley Cox, 74, husband of Nora Lynn Pennington Cox died July 27, 2008. Linvell was born March 15, 1934 in Estill County to the late Marcum C. and Louie Arnett Cox. He was retired from IBM, an Army Veteran, member of American Legion and a KY Colonel. Additional survivors are his children, Teresa McKenney, Lisa (Randy) Peavler, Linvell Cox (Dianne) Jr., Gary (Juanita) Feck, Steven (Rebecca) Feck-Nicholasville, eleven grandchildren, brothers, Forest P. (Patsy) Cox-OK and Lyman (Connie) Cox-Wilmore, sisiter-in-law, Doris Cox-FL, a special cousin Don Terry and other family members. He was also preceded in death by two brothers Marcum Cox Jr., and Ronald Cox. Services will be 1:00 PM Wednesday at Betts & West Funeral Home with Rev. Pamela C. Rucker officiating and burial to follow in Blue Grass Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5:00 until 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Bearers will be Dave Hammond, Roy Durham, Ted Allen, Scott Thomas, Mike Hammond and Bobby Shelton. Honorary bearers will be Roger Benge, Johnny Bruner, Johnny Durham, Don Terry, Lonnie Myers, Bob Royse, Dwight Willis, Martin Lowery, Bruce Frisinger, James Beaumont, Leon Goodlett, Mike Jones and Charlie Walker.
