Lorraine Kinder Hall, 77, widow of the late Floyd R. Hall of Nicholasville, KY, passed away Monday, November 17, 2014. She was born in Pike County, KY, the daughter of the late Anthony Kinder and Myrtie Kendrick Kinder. She was a graduate of Pikeville College with a B.S. Degree. Lorraine earned a Masters Degree and a Rank 1 from Eastern Kentucky University. She was a retired teacher, having taught thirty seven years mostly in Jessamine County. She was a member of Edgewood Baptist church, and a member of Kentucky Retired Teachers and Jessamine County Retired Teachers. Family survivors are a daughter, Melissa (Jeff) Hackworth of Lexington, one brother, Herman Kinder of Carrolton, KY and one sister, Sarah Justice of Sheffield, OH. Her family would like to give a special thank you to Council Oaks for the loving care they provided to her this past year. Visitation will be from 11:00 until 1:00 pm Thursday at Betts & West Funeral Home. Graveside service will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery with Pastor Steve Sholar officiating. Bearers will be Kenneth Kinder, Kyle Adams, Frank Saler and David Sowards. Honorary Bearers will be members of the Fidelis Sunday School Class.
