Louis Edward Peel

Louis Edward Peel, 77, husband of Darlene Marie Guy Peel, passed away Tuesday, May 2, 2023, at his home on Elm Fork in Nicholasville. He was born in Jessamine County on April 23, 1946, to the late Edward Harrison Peel and Edna Mae Walker Peel. Louis retired from General Electric, and served as a Lance Corporal in the United States Marine Corps. He is survived by his wife, Darlene; son, James Louis Peel (Yoko); daughter, Melissa Marie Conn (James); grandchildren, Beau Spicer Jr. (Melanie), Joseph Spicer (Britney), Nathaniel Spicer, Hunter Peel, and Ryker Peel; as well as great-grandchildren, Sophia Spicer, Lillian Spicer, and Raelyn Spicer. He is preceded by a son, Jimmy Louis Peel, and brothers, Nelson Ray Peel, and William Franklin Peel. Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, May 5, at Betts & West Funeral Home with Pastor Billy Peel officiating. Burial will follow at Bluegrass Memorial Gardens where family and friends will serve as bearers. Visitation will be held the evening prior, from 5:00 – 9:00 PM, Thursday, at the funeral home.
