Lucille Reynolds Brooks, 86, went home to be with her Lord on November 4, 2011. She was born April 29, 1925, daughter of the late John and Katie Reynolds. She was married to Clarence Brooks for nearly fifty years. Lucy was a life-long resident of Jessamine County and a member of the Clover Bottom Baptist Church. Lucille was a devoted homemaker and gifted gardener. She was preceded in death by two sisters Della Peel and Stella Hughes, two brothers Roy and Bob Reynolds, and brother in-law Tommy Hughes. She leaves three loving and caring daughters, Reata (Bill) Buffin, Jan (Jerry) Hurst, Phyllis (Joe) Esenbock; six grandchildren, Lynn Eary, Todd Lewis, Jennifer (Chad) LaRue, Jeremiah (Lisa) Esenbock, Joshua (Kelly) Esenbock and Joe B. (Carrie) Esenbock; nine great grandchildren, Jordan, Austin, Megan, Jana, Tyler, Madison, Brenna, Colton and Logan: two sisters to cherish her memory, Anna (Charles), Holderman, Ruth (Rick) Macomb and brother Donald (Dixie) Reynolds and a sister-in-law, Mary Ellen Reynolds. Visitation will be at Betts & West Funeral Home in Nicholasville Monday, November 7 from 11:30AM-2 PM. Funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM and will be officiated by Don Reed. Burial will be in the Wilmore Cemetery. Pallbearers will be grandsons Todd Lewis, Chad LaRue, Jeremiah Esenbock, Joshua Esenbock, Joe B. Esenbock, and great-grandson Jordan Eary. The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff of Homestead Nursing Home in Lexington. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of the Bluegrass.
