Mabel Tackett

Mabel Tackett, 91 of Nicholasville Kentucky, died Sunday, March 2, 2014. She was born April 2, 1922 in Floyd County, Kentucky to the late William B. and Laura Belle Tackett. She was also preceded in death by 5 brothers, Leland, Fred, Troy, Paul and William H (Buster) Tackett, 2 sisters, Ruth T. Smith and Dixie Tackett. Mabel is survived by 2 nieces and 14 nephews plus several great and great-great nieces and nephews. Mabel was a retired school teacher from the Indiana School Systems. Mable moved from Chicago, Illinois to Nicholasville in 1977. She was a member of the Edgewood Baptist Church and was a volunteer at Central Baptist Hospital for many years. Funeral services will be 11 am Thursday at Betts & West Funeral Home with Pastor Steve Sholar officiating. Entombment will follow in Blue Grass Memorial Gardens.
