Mark Lee Reed

Mark Lee Reed, 64, husband of Susan Elizabeth Locker Reed, passed away Monday, February 17, 2025, at their home in Lancaster, Kentucky. He was born in Lexington on February 15, 1961, to the late Roland Reed and Lois Tupts Reed. Mark was proud to be a tractor mechanic and was very skilled in his trade. Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 46 years, Sue Reed; daughters, Missy Reed Hulett (Aaron), Tiffany Reed (Brett), and Sarah Reed McIntosh (Seth); bonus children, Dave Hage (Andi), Mike Hammond, and Joey Reed; brothers, Tom Reed, Wesley Reed, Danny Reed (Tammy), John Reed (Tanya); sisters, Rita Simpson, Janice Waford (George), and Betty “Hootie” Boh (John); and sister-in-law, Tammy Hudson (Robbie). He will also be remembered fondly by his grandchildren, Brylee Goen (Christian), Kaylee Crutcher (Trevin), Aubree McIntosh (Christian), Owen Hulett, Reed Hammond, Oaklee Hulett, Weslea Crutcher, and Maylee McIntosh; great-grandchild, Palmer Smith; special friends, Doug Downing and Adrian Dickerson; as well as nieces, nephews, family, and friends. Mark is preceded in death by his parents, Roland and Lois; son, Michael Crutcher; sister, Judy Wheeler; brother, Larry Reed; brothers-in-law, Kenny Locker and John Locker; and his parents-in-law, Buck and Ruth Locker. A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, March 2, at The Oaks Venue (205 West Oak Street, Nicholasville, Kentucky), with Bro. Bill Bales officiating at 2:00 PM, followed by a meal and visitation until 5:00 PM. Betts & West is honored to serve Mark and his family in their time of need.
