Mark Stone

Mark Stone, 63, took the righteous hand of our ever-Faithful Father at home and returned to his eternal home in heaven on Wednesday, January 12, 2022. He was born in Ashland, Kentucky on September 22, 1958, to Suedelle Salyer Stone and the late Cecil L. Stone. He is remembered with love by his mother Suedelle, daughter Tessa Margaret Stone, one brother Todd (Sandy) Stone, and two nephews, Chad (Lindsey) Stone and Jay Stone. Mark accepted Christ at a younger age and through everything during his time on earth, he always referred to God’s word and truth. He took every situation or conversation as an opportunity to teach scripture and witness to someone. Mark’s full faithfulness and complete trust in the Lord shined bright for all to see. He once said, “As I age there is one simple scripture that continually rings true in my life, trust only in the Lord.” Closer to his passing, each day he continually said to us, “This is the day the Lord has made, rejoice and be glad in it.” So, let us rejoice, it is not goodbye, it’s I will see you again. We know all things work together for good to those who love God and are called according to His purpose; Romans 8:28. Services will be at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, January 19, 2022, at Betts & West Funeral Home, with Pastor Jason Carter officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Chad Stone, Jay Stone, Gary Salyer, Rod Phillips, Aaron King, and Seth Rosenhagen. Visitation will be from 12:30 PM until the time of service at the funeral home.
