Mary Ann Carson Merriman West

Mary Ann Carson Merriman West, 69, wife of Leon C. West, died Wednesday, October 10, 2012. Mary loved the outdoors, her cats and birds, flowers and also karaoke and dancing at the veteran's center. Additional survivors are a daughter, Linda (Joe) Whilhoite, two step daughters, Kim (Matt) McGrath and Donna (Mike) McCullough, a step son, Greg (Selena) West, three grandchildren, Katie, Becky and J.J., four step grandchildren, Jessica, Trevor, Nicholas and Monica, three step great grandchildren, Chase, Cameron and Kayla and many more family and friends. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Robert Merriman. Services will be 1:00 pm Saturday at Betts & West Funeral Home with Leonard Fitch officiating. Burial will follow in Wilmore Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until time of service Saturday at the funeral home. Bearers will be Matt McGrath, Daniel Langford Jr., Mike Corman, Greg, Nicholas and James Edward West. Contributions suggested to Jessamine County Animal Shelter.
