Mary Frances Guy

Mary Frances Guy, 85, passed away Friday October 24, 2014 at the Hospice Care Plus Center in Richmond, Kentucky. Mary was born on March 16, 1929 in Jessamine County to the late Charles Leonard and Dewey Mae Carter Bowman. Mary was a homemaker, a member of Edgewood Baptist Church and enjoyed visiting Bethel Christian Church. Mary is survived by three daughters Patricia Lee Reitzer (Randy), Brenda Sue Houp (Kenneth), and Dewey Ann Locker (Robert), one son William Leonard Guy (Tammie), one brother Charles Melvin Bowman (Dorothy), eight grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren, and a host of other family members. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Billy L. Guy, an infant daughter Linda Marlene Guy, and a brother Raymond Lee Bowman. Service for Mary Frances Guy will be conducted at 11:00 AM Thursday at the Betts and West Funeral Home with Brother Steve Sholar and Pastor Bill Bales officiating. Burial will follow in the Wilmore Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00-8:00 PM Wednesday at the funeral home. Bearers will be W.T. Guy, Carlen Guy, Mark Reed, Terry Decker, Reagan Taylor, Tim Speller, Chuck Bowman and Thomas Hayes. Honorary Bearers will be the Susan Blankenship Sunday School Class and special friend Janice Phillips, who was a inspiration in the last year of her life.
