Mary Janice Strickland Graham

Mary Janice Strickland Graham, 71, widow of Charlie Kinard Graham Jr., died Monday, June 10, 2013. Mary was born October 3, 1941 in Winterheaven, Florida to Jesse Herbert and Edna Christine Whatley Strickland. She was a former employee of Thompson Hood Veteran Center, was a member of Lamberts' Chapel United Methodist Church. Mary loved flowers, crafts, singing and the Veterans at her work. Survivors are five children, Angella (Thomas) Scanlon, Karen (Chuck) Wilhere, Carole Estes, John Daniel (Tracy) Nelson and Luanne Howard, five grandchildren, Thomas Casper Scanlon, Dakota Gill, Jordan Wilhere, Jerrison Howard, Jesse Estes, three step grandchildren, Amanda, Stephanie and Anthony Scanlon, three step great grandchildren, Anthony Wayne and Kaylee Hampton, Baylee Scanlon and other family members. She was also preceded in death by a grandson, Tony Nelson and one sister and two brothers. Services will be 11:00 am Thursday at Betts & West Funeral Home with Pastor Steven Gifford officiating.
