Mary Lee Williams Higgs

Mary Lee Williams Higgs, 86, wife of Harold Logan Higgs passed away January 30, 2015. She was born on January 25, 1929 in Lexington, Kentucky to the late Sewell B and Grace King Williams. Mary Lee was a Jessamine County 8th grade English teacher for 27 years, she was a member of Nicholasville Presbyterian Church, a member of the Kentucky Retired Teachers Association, AARP Association and a former member of the Young Women's Club. She loved reading, knitting, camping, traveling, playing piano, Sudoku and crossword puzzles. Mary Lee is survived by one son Bill (Liz) Higgs, two grandchildren Matthew 'Matt' (Beth) Higgs and Lillian 'Lilly' Margaret Higgs, one sister Sarah Elizabeth Copley and other family members to mourn her passing. Besides her parents Mary Lee was preceded in death by one sister, Helen Grace Riley. Funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 AM Tuesday, February 10, 2015 at the Betts & West Funeral Home.
