Mary Leslie Shearer Sanders

Mary Leslie Shearer Sanders, 87, widow of O. Glendon Sanders, died Saturday, August 4, 2018. She was born on November 7, 1930 in Nicholasville, Kentucky the daughter of Leslie and Beatrice Moss Shearer. Mary attended the Nicholasville Christian Church. She worked as an assistant for Drs Baxter and Smith. Mary catered many weddings, special events and celebrations with family and friends. Antiquing, needlework, baking, UK sports, especially basketball were just a few of her favorite interests. She is survived by two daughters, Susan (Mark) Weden of Huntsville, Alabama and Laura Sanders of Lexington, a niece, Lynn Daugherty Thomas and two nephews, John Daugherty and Tom Daugherty. She was preceded in death by her sister, Betty Shearer Daugherty. Services will be 1:00pm Wednesday at Betts & West Funeral Home.
