Mary Rose Flack Cecil, 87, widow of Charles Cecil, Lexington, Kentucky, passed away on Tuesday, May 14, 2024, at Baptist Health Lexington. She was born in Jessamine County, Kentucky, on September 8, 1936, to the late George Flack and Virginia Corman Flack. Mary Rose worked as a cashier at Winn Dixie and Kroger for many years. She attended Gardenside Christian Church in Lexington, Kentucky. She is survived by three children, Sharon (Gary) Burrows, Deborah (Marty) Hoover, and Allan (Jane) Cecil; a sister, Nellie Fulton; six grandchildren, Justin, Amanda, Kevin, Morgan, Mallory, and Jacob; as well as two great-grandchildren, Kevin Jr. and Karter Lee. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, May 17, 2024, at Betts & West Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to go to the Alzheimer’s Association or the Down’s Syndrome Association.
