Mattie Harper McLean, 79, widow of Billy Mclean, died Thursday October 2, 2008. She was born March 25, 1929 in White Oak, KY to the late Kelly and Lida Ann Blair Harper. She was a retired waitress for Walgreens and a member of the Church of Christ on Lake Street. Survivors are seven children, Lewis McLean-Lexington, Patricia (Jim) Brumfield-Richmond, Sammy (Sandra) McLean-Nicholasville, Alice (Steve) Tubbs-Paris, Paula (Danny) Dunn-Mt. Sterling, Sherry Sauls-Nicholasville, Jeffrey (Sherry) McLean-Nicholasville, twenty six grandchildren, several great grandchildren, three sisters, two brothers, two special friends, Dorothy Woods and Barbara Taylor-Nicholasville and other family members. She was also preceded in death by two children, William and George McLean and seven sisters. Services will be 11:00 AM Monday at Betts & West Funeral Home. Burial will be in Blue Grass Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 5:00-8:00 PM Sunday at the funeral home. Bearers will be David and Tommy Brumfield, Stephen Sauls, Johnny Blakeman Jr., Sammy McLean Jr., Richard and William E. McLean.
