Maxine Hall Marcus, 89, wife of sixty nine years to Walter Neal Marcus, died March 6, 2008. She was born September 16, 1918 in Obion County, Tennessee to the late Howard and Gertrude Pope Hall. Maxine was a retired hospital dietician, member of 1st Baptist Church, Lansing MI, American Baptist Women-s Association being a delegate for several years. After working for 35 years at Sparrow Hospital she continued as a volunteer, she was a election official for many years in Lansing, MI, rolled countless bandages for missionary hospitals but above all else she was a homemaker for her family. Additional survivors are two daughters, Virginia Marcus-Nicholasville, Marilyn Marcus-Simpsonville, two sons, Phillip (Sally) Marcus-CT, Lt. Col. Kevin (Cynthia) Marcus-Belgium, eight grandchildren, Eric (Kelly) Zabilka, Laura (Wesley) Houp, both of Wilmore, Joshua Kinlaw, Abigail (Andrew) Wilder-both of Louisville, Caleb (Beth) Kinlaw-Scotland, Dennis Kinlaw III-Boston, Bradley Marcus-CT and Alice (Paul) Kreige-NY, five great-grandchildren, Kimberlee and Nicholas Zabilka-both of Wilmore, Luke Wilder-Louisville, and Chloe and Henry Houp-both of Wilmore and one sister, Ollie Marie Bobo-TN and other family members. Services will be 3:00 PM at Wilmore Senior Community Center at Wesley Village. Burial will follow in Wilmore Cemetery. Bearers will be Joshua Kinlaw, Eric Zabilka, Denny Kinlaw, Brad Marcus, Nick Zabilka and Wes Houp. Visitation will be from 2:00 until 3:00 PM Sunday before the service.
