Merrell Clinton Teater

Merrell Clinton Teater, 82, husband of Jean Carolyn Carter Teater, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family, Wednesday, October 12, 2016. He was born November 20, 1933 in Nicholasville, KY to the late Batie Roland and Georgia Mae Walker Teater. Merrell was a member of the Nicholasville Methodist Church. He loved to coach little league baseball, was an avid UK fan but most of all he loved being with his family. Family survivors are two children, Merrelyn (Dana) Carmichael and David (Patty) Teater, five grandchildren, Allison (Max) Guyer, Nicki (Lewis) Carmichael, Clint (Alisha) Teater, Mandy (Andrew) Murphy and Abby Teater, seven great grandchildren, Skyler Cannady, Averie Cannady, Kenley Guyer, Dylan Teater, Mason Teater, Jaxon Teater and Knox Murphy who is due in December and other family members. He was also preceded in death by three siblings, Roland Teater, Reba Guy and Margaret Jane Feeback. Funeral service will be 1:00 PM Saturday at Betts & West Funeral Home with Bro. Bill Bales officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 5:00 until 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Bearers will be Lewis Cannady, Skyler Cannady, Max Guyer, Clint Teater, Andrew Murphy, Jimmy White and Bobby Vanderpool. Contributions suggested to Hospice of the Bluegrass.
