Michael Ray Centers, 63, child of God, of South 2nd Street, Nicholasville, passed away Saturday, May 15, 2021 in a trucking accident. He was born on January 20, 1958 in Versailles, Kentucky to the late Venard D. and Hazel Jean Shields Centers. He worked as a truck driver for Severe Trucking in Nicholasville. He was a long-time faithful member of the Chapel Hill Baptist Church where he served as choir director, music director, and played his guitar. He was an avid golfer and bowler and bowled in tournaments here and in Las Vegas. He also played football and lettered in many sports at Woodford County High School. He is survived by his fiancé and the love of his life, Toni Mayse, and her children, Miranda Baker, and Stephen Baker, a brother, Gregg (Tammie DeBold) Centers, an uncle, John Wayne (Brenda) Shields who was like a brother to him, and numerous other members of the Shields and Centers families. Memorial Service will be 6:00 PM, Wednesday, May 19, 2021 at Chapel Hill Baptist Church with Bro. Willie Laswell, and Bro. Bobby Lakes officiating.
