Mollie Sue Dunaway Moores, the widow of Clarence A. “Tom” Moores, passed away at her residence on Saturday, February 12, 2022. On October 29, 1940, she was born in Irvine, Kentucky, to the late Lewis and Carrie Geneva Dunaway. Mollie was a member of the Jessamine Christian Church. She is survived by one son Miles (Cathy) Moores, two daughters, Kathy Preston and Linda (Jackie Corman) Horton, seven grandchildren Melissa and Brooke Moores, Laura Brewer, Courtney Pewitt, Ryan Preston, Lindsey and Casey Horton, ten great-grandchildren and one sister Harriet Wilson. Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son Byron Moores, two brothers, Jimmy and Donnie Dunaway, and a granddaughter Bethany Floyd. The funeral service will be conducted at Noon, Thursday, February 17, 2022, at Betts & West Funeral Home, with Pastors Lee Faust and Wally Rendel officiating. Burial will follow in the Camp Nelson National Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 9 AM until the Funeral service hour of Noon Thursday at the funeral home.
