Morris Wayne Watts

December 11, 1942 — April 24, 2010

Morris Wayne Watts, of Edgewood Drive in Nicholasville, died April 23, 2010 at his home. He was the son of the late Welburn and Rella McQuery Watts. Mr. Watts was a retired tradesman of the Plumbers and Pipefitters Local #452, a member of Lighthouse Baptist Church, a proud Democrat, one of the best ever Crappie fishermen and had a passion for drag racing fast -55 Chevrolet-s. Survivors include a son, Bobby (Melissa) Watts - Union, KY, a daughter, Amy Watts (Doug) Boone - Dallas, TX, five grandchildren, Taylor, Brooke and Hayden Watts, Mitchell and Megan Boone. Brothers William A. Watts, Lester W. (Elizabeth) Watts, Douglas L. (Anne) Watts and Charles Ray (Mae) Watts. Bearers for the service are Roger Belcher, Carl Hatton, Darryl Drake, Jimmy Watts, James Teaven and Jimmy Briener. Honorary Bearers are Joe Dietrich, Paul Faulkener, Glenn Hensley, Pete Graham, John Howard, Bill Hardwick and all members of Plumbers and Pipefitters Local #452. Services will be 2:00, Thursday, April 29 at Betts & West Funeral Home in Nicholasville with Rev. Dan Barnes officiating. Burial will follow in Bluegrass Memorial Gardens.
