Naoma Faye Gilbert Young

Naoma Faye Gilbert Young, 79, passed Thursday, September 1, 2016. She was born November 18, 1936 in Lexington, KY to the late Alson and Ollie Edith Curtis Gilbert. Faye was a member of Northview Baptist Church, Lexington KY. She was a avid UK fan, liked to rock on her porch but most of all she liked to make people happy. Survivors are four children, Vickie (Bud) Peek, Susie (Barry) McFadden, Sandy (Davy) Middleton and Jack (Cheryl) Young, seven grandchildren, Stacey and Whitney Peek, Jason Williams, Brandy Craft, Bo Middleton, Eric Fain and Cory Young, nine great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, two sisters, Janet Turner and Johnnie Durbin, one brother, James Gilbert and other family members. She was also preceded in death by two grandchildren, Christy Carter and Angel Peek and six siblings. Service will be 1:00 PM Tuesday at Betts & West Funeral Home with Pastor Terry Murphy officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 5:00 until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
