Opal Lee Hurt Elliott, 79, died Monday, July 4, 2011. She was born October 18, 1931 in Garrard County to the late Robert and Mary Davis Hurt. Survivors are three children, Harvey (Patsy) Burris Jr. of Lexington, David Wayne Burris of Nicholasville, Phyllis Ann (Chris) Newby of Lexington, six grandchildren, Brian (Connie) Newby of Lexington, Anthony (Elsie) Burris of North Middleton, Chris Newby of Nicholasville, James (Melissa) Burris of AL, Billy Newby of Lexington, Krystal Burris of Nicholasville, ten great grandchildren, a brother, Neal Hurt of Nicholasville, three aunts, nieces and nephews, a special aunt Dude of Nicholasville and a very special friend, Charlene Fielder of Wilmore. Graveside service will be 10:00 am Wednesday at Camp Nelson National Cemetery with Glen Moore Shearer officiating. Bearers will be Tony, Jim, Chris, Billy and Krystal Burris and Brian Newby.
