Orbra Gullette

Wilmore-Orbra Gullette, 84, husband of Vina Rainwater Gullette, of Maple Street, died October 15, 2007 at his home after a long illness. He was born in Jessamine County on December 8, 1922, son of the late Henry and Vena Blakeman Gullette. He was a retired employee of the V.A. Hospital and served as a lockmaster at Lock #7. Additional survivors include two sons, Larry Gullette and Mike (Judy) Gullette, a daughter, Barbara (Pat) Casey, grandchildren, Sarah Canter, Trish Shearer, Chris, Eric, Greg and Miliah Gullette, Jamie Simms, ten special great grandchildren. Services will be 2:00pm Friday at Betts & West Funeral Home with Rev. Dean Cook. Visitation will be 5-9pm Thursday. Burial will be in the Wilmore Cemetery. Bearers will be Joe Walker, Tim West, Danny Houge, Bobby and Ken Gullette, Harold, Stan and Benny Rainwater. Honorary bearers will be Chuck Dees and Alvin Harris.
