Paul Harold Cuzick

June 25, 1935 — December 13, 2007

Paul Harold Cuzick, 73, husband of 52 years to Barbara Jean Spurgeon Cuzick of Debra Court, passed away December 13, 2007 at his home. Before his health detererated he enjoyed hunting, fishing, coon hunting, raising chickens, gardening and working with his horses. He was employed by Calumet, Pinoak and Gainsborough Farms. Born in Jessamine County on June 25, 1935 he was the son of the late Luther and Hallie Tuggle Cuzick. He is survived by four children, Vickie Purvis, Gail (Larry) Thompson, Paul Cuzick Jr. and Janice Cuzick, three grandchildren, Brian (Rosa) Thompson, Laura (Jeff) Lyle and Ashley Watts, four great-grandchildren who he loved giving -yum-yums- to, MacKensie and Grace Thompson and Hunter and Abigail Lyle, two sisters, Jewel Dean Barnes and Della Rhea Miller and two brothers, Dale and William Cuzick. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Stephen Purvis, two sisters, Pamela Morris and Virginia Cuzick and three brothers, Ruford Cuzick, Luther Glenn Cuzick and Bob Cuzick. Services will be 2:30 PM Saturday at Betts & West Funeral Home with Rodney Murphy and Terry Cuzick officiating. Burial will follow in Bluegrass Memorial Gardens. Bearers will be Terry Cuzick, Mike Cuzick, Willie Jones, Larry Thom, Brian Thompson and Bob East. Honorary Bearers will be Davey Cuzick, Tuck Owens, Carl Crowe, Joe Wagoner, James Morris and Tommy Cuzick. Visitation will be Friday from5-9 PM at the funeral home.
