Nicholasville-Pauline Wall Faulkner, 89, widow of James A. Faulkner died Saturday, August 11, 2007 at her home after a long illness. She was born December 24, 1917 in Casey County, KY to the late George Washington and Verniece Durham Wall. Mrs. Faulkner graduated from Highland High School in Lincoln County, KY and was valedictorian of her graduating class. After high school she attended beauty culture school and was a hairdresser for a short period of time. She and Mr. Faulkner married in 1938 in Lincoln County and then moved to Nicholasville in 1957 where they founded the Faulkner Fain Company, Inc.. After Mr. Faulkner-s death in 1976, Mrs. Faulkner continued to run the business until her retirement in 1992. She was an active member of the Lena Madison Phillips Business Woman-s Club, very involved in her church, the Nicholasville United Methodist Church and a member of the Ruth Cook Circle. Mrs. Faulkner was an avid quilter, loved crocheting, embroidery and all types of handcrafts. She loved being with her family and was loved deeply by her entire family and friends and treated everyone as a special person. Survivors are a daughter, Jenny -Ginger- (JD) Wells, son, Paul A. (Ann Carol) Faulkner-Nicholasville, godson, Gene (Selina) Faulkner,-GA, four grandchildren, Richard A. Mahan-Lexington, David (Dana) Mahan-Nicholasville, Jim (Abbie) Mahan-Nicholasville. John Paul (Lisa) Wells-Wilmore, two sisters, Marvel Wall Morgan-NB and Charlotte Wall Klein-TX, ten great grandchildren, Colten, Paige, Maggie, David, Stephen and Meghan Mahan, Shelby, Sydney, JT and Jenna Wells, six step grandchildren, Jeff and Michael Wells, Jennifer Wells Lane, Seth Corman, Shawn (Renee) Fox and Summer (Mike) Walker, four step great grandchildren, Kim (Jason) Jacobs, Kristen Elkins, Amy Jo Lane and Ashley Corman, numerous step great great grandchildren and other family members. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Vida Downey, two brothers, George Shannon and Maurice Stanley Wall. Services will be 1:30 Tuesday at Betts & We
st Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Snyder officiating and burial to follow in Blue Grass Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 5-8 today at the funeral home. Bearers will be, Richard, Dave and Jim Mahan, Jeff, Michael and John Wells. Memorials suggested to Hospice of the Bluegrass and Nicholasville United Methodist Church Building Fund.
