Pearl Mae Seals Calvert, 91, of Lancaster, Kentucky (formerly of Odessa, Texas) and widow of Luther Howard Calvert Sr., died Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at the Danville Center for Health and Rehabilitation. She was born on January 31, 1927 in Winters, Texas to the late Charles Henry Seals and Ollie Elizabeth Cummins Seals. She was a devoted and loving sister, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who placed her family above herself. She was an avid and lifelong Dallas Cowboys fan. During her life she suffered tremendous loss, but never lost her faith or spirit. Pearl always had a kind word for all she met and a heart of gold. She never met a stranger as anyone she met was an instant friend. In her latter years of life, her pride and joy was spending every day loving her great grandchildren and being an active part of their lives. She was retired from the First National Bank in Odessa, Tx and later volunteered as a Pink Lady at Medical Center Hospital in Odessa. Pearl is survived by a granddaughter, Jamie Andrews Davis, her husband Chris Davis, three great grandchildren, Cyndi Davis, Cayden Davis, Dustin Calvert and a sister Lavada Haupt.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Cynthia Andrews Ogilvy, her son, Luther "Sonny" Howard Calvert Jr. and two grandchildren, Michelle Calvert and Michael Calvert. Services will be at 1:00 PM, Saturday at Betts & West Funeral Home of Nicholasville, KY with Paster Larry Buford officiating. Visitations will be from 11:00 AM until the time of service. It was Mrs. Calvert's wishes to be cremated and have her ashes interred in Sunset Memorial Gardens of Odessa, Texas. Online guestbook at www.BettsandWestfuneralhome.com
