Phillip Ray Stewart

Phillip Ray Stewart, 67, husband of Crystal Virgo Stewart, died Wednesday, January 29, 2020 at the University of Kentucky Hospital. He was born on March 5, 1952 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Janie B. Lane Stewart Kendall and Ray S. Stewart. Phillip was a PE teacher at Brookside Elementary in Jessamine County for over 30 years and believer in the Methodist Faith. Survivors include a daughter, Lauren Lane Stewart and a sister, Janet Stewart-Sommer. He was preceded in by a sister, Betty Dennis. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Tuesday at Betts & West Funeral Home, visitation will be 4-8:00 PM Monday at the Betts & West Funeral Home. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery with family and friends serving as bearers. The family suggest donations to the University of Kentucky Markey Cancer Center.
