Rachel Kirby Reynolds, 88, widow of Melvin Reynolds died Sunday, March 2, 2008. Rachel was born September 19, 1919 in Rockcastle County to Willey and Dale McClure Mink. She was a homemaker and attended Logana Baptist Church. Survivors are two children, Ray Reynolds-Crab Orchard, Wendel T. Reynolds-Lancaster, eight grandchildren Jennifer Reynolds, William Pointer Jr., Angela Dye, Nancy Kimberley Gene Reynolds, Tammy Sue Stanley, Betty Lou Pointer, Lovel Fields, Teressa Pointer, nine great grandchildren, James David Dye, Christopher Lee Dye, Samantha Smith Patrick, Zachery Stanley, Roland Lee Land, Wanda Ann Land, William Glendel Land, Renee Fields, Harmoney Fields, four great great grandchildren, Marissa Angel, Brandy Reynolds, Breanna and Lindsey Land, two brothers Merian Mink, Obby Curby Mink and other family members. She was also preceded in death by a son Nelson Reynolds and four sisters and three brothers. Services will be 2pm Tuesday at Betts & West Funeral Home with Pastor Jerry Browning officiating. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11am Tuesday until time of service.
