Raymond Y. Adams, 85, passed away September 10, 2013 at Thompson-Hood Veterans Center. He was a life long resident of Nicholasville. Mr. Adams voulunteered for the U.S. Marine Corps. At age 16 and fought ballets on Tinian, Saipon and Okinawa during WW II for which he was decorated. As a truck driver, salesman and business owner Raymond was able to do what he enjoyed most, talk to people. He was a member of the Nicholasville Baptist Church and a member of the Lexington VFW. Survivors include four daughters Sharon Rae (Jerry) Goettig, Barbara Sue (Steve) Hall, Callie Ray Adams (Dave Swift) and Rebecka Lynn (Larry) Hall and his friend of many years, Mrs. Betty Burns.
