Richard Boyd Adams

Richard Boyd Adams, 74, widower of Linda Corman Adams, Lancaster, passed away Sunday, August 4, 2024. He was born in Boyle County on August 24, 1949, to the late Lee Adams and Marie Cox Adams. He was an avid UK Basketball fan and animal lover. As a young man he grew up on a farm, leading him to farm for much of his life until he worked for Feldman Lumber Company. Richard loved to spend time with his family, listen to country music, and watch old Westerns on TV. He is survived by his daughter, Christina Adams; brother, Donnie Adams (Connie); sisters, Barbara Grimes (Roy), Stella Estes (Bill), and Elsie Johnson; brothers-in-law, Bill Davis, and Garnett Peavler; and sister-in-law, Ruth Adams. He is preceded by his wife, Linda; brothers, Gary Adams, Larry Adams, and Johnny Adams; and sisters, Carolyn Davis, Wanda Jean Peavler, Joyce Phillips (Larry), and Doris Jean Adams. Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, August 9, at Betts & West Funeral Home with Bro. Jay Webb officiating. Visitation will be held the evening prior, from 4:00 – 8:00 PM, Thursday, at the funeral home. He will be laid to rest with his wife, Linda, at Bluegrass Memorial Gardens.
