Richard Manuel Griffith

Richard Manuel Griffith, 58, passed December 27, 2014. He was born on March 6, 1956 in Lexington to the late Noah Russell Griffith and Norma Jeanette Johns Hughes. Richard was a Lock Master for the Kentucky River Authority and enjoyed fishing, coin collecting, gardening and his cats and dog (Abby). He is survived by his daughter Tiffany Lynn Griffith, three grandchildren Avery Griffith, Acelynn and Asa Preston, two nieces Catherine (Lance) Simpson and Jennifer Cooper, one nephew Chris Cooper, numerous great nephews and nieces. Richard is also survived by his special friend and confidant Becky Stamper and her family, Tori Stamper, Dillon Wren, Adam Stamper, Robert Stamper, Jacey Stamper and Doug Stamper. Funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 AM Friday January 2, 2015 at Betts and West Funeral Home with Leonard Fitch officiating. Burial will follow in the Shawnee Run Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-8 PM Thursday at the funeral home. Casket bearers will be Robert Stamper, Doug Stamper, Dennis Adams, Bobby Wolter Jr, Bobby Webb, and Hunter Griffith.
