Richard Taylor Walter

Richard Taylor “Dick” Walter, 84, widower of Joyce Alice Walter, passed away September 9, 2023, at his residence. He was born on October 30, 1938, in Jessamine County, Kentucky to the late Taylor and Lucille Mack Walter. Richard was retired from UPS. He is survived by one daughter Christy (Dude) Hager, two grandchildren Jaclyn and Leigh Hager, one brother James “Cricket” (Vela) Walter, one sister-in-law Carolyn Walter, and a brother-in-law Gary Warner, and also leaves behind his dog Rocky. Besides his loving wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a son Daryl Richard Walter, two brothers Bill and Jerry Walter, and his late wife’s mother whom he cared very much for, Christine Clark Warner. Service will be conducted at 2 PM Friday, September 15, 2023, at Betts & West Funeral Home with Brother Bill Bales officiating. Burial will be in the Maple Grove Cemetery.
