Robert Fields

January 15, 1955 — February 10, 2025

Nicholasville

Robert “Bob” Fields passed away peacefully at home in Nicholasville, KY, on February 10, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He was 70 years old.

Born and raised in Harlan County, Bob grew up alongside his six siblings: brothers Rondal, Raymond, and Dean, and sisters Mary Jane, Lorraine, and Donna. He soon met and married the love of his life, Patsy, with whom he shared 50 wonderful years. Together, they built a beautiful family, raising two children, Mindy and Brian.

Bob leaves behind his beloved family, including his wife Patsy, his children Mindy and Brian, his daughter-in-law Abbey and his four cherished grandchildren: Noah, Kaylyn, Caleb, and Ellis.

Bob dedicated over 25 years as a coal miner, working for International Harvester, U.S. Steel, and Arch of Kentucky. His faith was the foundation of his life, and he was a devoted member of Cumberland Church of God for more than 60 years. After moving to Nicholasville in 2012, he joined Christ Embassy, where his servant’s heart quickly led him to become an Elder and Pastor. Bob played a vital role in the church community, physically helping to build two Christ Embassy locations, leading the men’s group “Man Up,” and helping launch the Monday night community meals, ensuring no one went hungry. He lived to be the hands and feet of Jesus.

Bob has now received his Heavenly reward, reunited in worship with his parents, Hassel and Juanita, his brother Raymond, his son-in-law Rick, and many other loved ones who welcomed him home.

His legacy of faith, love, and service will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

Services will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, February 15, at Christ Embassy Church with Apostle Jonathan Stidham officiating. Burial will follow at Smith Family Cemetery in Lancaster, Kentucky. Serving as bearers will be Anthony Brown, Theo Robinson, Justin Durham, Donald Clay, Joshua Graves, and David Long. Honorary bearers will be Larry Smith, Roger Helms, Steve Collins, and Jeff LaCour. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until the time of service, Saturday, at the church. Betts & West is honored to serve Bob and his family in their time of need.
