Robert Michael Halcomb, Sr.

Robert Michael Halcomb, Sr., loving husband of Carolyn Bernice Lee Halcomb, passed away on Friday, March 29, 2024, at his home in Crab Orchard, Kentucky. He was born in Lynch, Kentucky, on August 6, 1958, to the late Albert Halcomb and Helen Smith Halcomb. Robert was an Army Veteran and the Owner & Operator of H & S Insulation. He is survived by his son, Robert Halcomb, Jr; two brothers, Albert (Janet) Halcomb and Jerry (Carolyn) Halcomb; two sisters, Betty (Kenneth) Turner and Anna (Charles) Houlette; Pappaw to two grandchildren, Elijah Halcomb and Haley Halcomb. He was preceded in death by a brother, Hassell Halcomb, and three sisters, Emma Land, Wanda Land, and Janice Naylor. Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM, Friday, April 5, 2024, at Betts & West Funeral Home with Chaplain Jonathan Grizzel officiating. Burial will follow at Camp Nelson National Cemetery. Bearers will be Robert Halcomb, Jr., Elijah Halcomb, Roland Land, Hassell Halcomb, Jr., Michael Halcomb, and Albert Halcomb, Jr. The visitation will be 4-8:00 PM, Thursday, April 4, 2024, at the funeral home.
