Roger Wayne Houp

Roger Wayne "Rusty" Houp, 69, widower of Judy Ann Humphrey Houp, passed Friday, March 30, 2018. He was born June 24, 1948 in Lexington, KY to the late Junior Farris and Marietta Horton Houp. Roger was retired from the City of Nicholasville. He was a member of High Bridge Union Church, and liked woodworking and refinishing. Family survivors are a son, Robert (Melissa) Houp, five grandchildren, Amanda (Andrew) Wood, Christina (Anthony) Ruggiero, Berry (Anna) Houp, Jared Houp, and David (Tanika) Lay, four great grandchildren, Caleb Wood, Gunnar Ruggiero, Lilly Ruggiero, and Rylan Lay, four siblings, Marty Houp, Mitsy Woosley, Darle Houp, and Anthony Houp and other family members. Roger was also preceded in death by a daughter, Pearl Lynn Lay and a brother Gary Houp. Gathering of family and friends will be Wednesday from 5:00 until 8:00 PM at Betts & West Funeral Home.
