Ronald Dean Sullivan

Ronald Dean Sullivan, 83, widower of Shirley Jean Sullivan, passed away Thursday, March 16, 2023, at Saint Joseph Hospital in Lexington. He was born in Fayette County on January 13, 1940, to the late Edgar J. Sullivan and Thelma Louise Armour Sullivan. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army. Ronald is survived by his son, Ronnie Sullivan (Jackie); daughter, Melanie King (Billy); as well as seven grandchildren, and thirteen great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife, Shirley; daughter, Kimberly Taylor; brothers, Donnie Sullivan, and Larry Sullivan; and his sister, Mary Jo Bowen. Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, March 23, at Betts & West Funeral Home with Pastor John Ritchey officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery, where bearers will be Gabe King, Christopher King, Jordan King, Joseph King, Clinton Sullivan, and Darrin Sullivan. Visitation will be held from 12:00 PM until the time of service, Thursday, at the funeral home. Betts & West is honored to serve the Sullivan family in their time of need.
