Ronald Dean Thacker, 64, husband of Edwina 'Windy' Thacker, died Saturday, January 21,

2012. He was born February 26, 1947 in Berea, KY to the late Ernest and Virgie Christine Talbott Townsend. Additional family survivors are a daughter, Windy (Matthew) Ware of Georgetown, four grandchildren, Bobby and Tiffany Thacker and Mattea Ware of Georgetown, Zachary Thacker of Nicholasville, five sister, Charlotte (Jerry) Morrison, Maxine (Sanford) Watkins, Ethel Barnett, Mary Anna Berryman, Sue Treadway two brothers, Larry (Eunice) Townsend and John (Naomi) Townsend and other family members. He was also preceded in death by a son, Robert Thacker, a grandson, David Thacker and two sisters, Marie Talbott and Louise York. Services will be 1:00 pm Tuesday at Betts & West Funeral Home with Rev. William Malone officiating. Burial will follow in Blue Grass Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Monday from 5:00 until 8:00 pm at the funeral home. Bearers will be Pat Hollar, George Stamper, Ed Brown, Bobby Jones, Bob Malone and Donald Thomas.
