Ronald Edward Houp

Ronald Edward Houp, 79, husband of Sarah Katherine Hanke Houp, passed Thursday, July 27, 2017. He was born April 5, 1938 in High Bridge, KY to the late Jesse Lee and Cleo Dawn Horn Houp. Ronald was a biologist for the state of KY, member of the North American Benthological Society, South Eastern Water Pollution Biologist Association, and a Marine Veteran. He also liked to farm and had a keen interest in the High Bridge area. Additional family survivors are three children, Ron (Kathy) Houp Jr., Susan Houp (Matthew) Morris, and George Wesley (Laura) Houp, eight grandchildren, Will (Dara) Houp, Sarah Houp, Emily Houp, Christopher Houp, Henry Houp, Chloe Houp, and Ridgeland Morris, two brothers, Kenneth (Brenda) Houp and Harry B. Houp, and other family members. Graveside service will be 2:30 PM Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at Camp Nelson National Cemetery.
