Nicholasville-Ross Earl Peel, husband of 47 years to Linda Aldridge Peel, passed away December 18, 2014. Earl was a retired mechanic from the Jessamine County Road Department, a member of Sulphur Well Christian Church and was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was the son of the late Daisy Wardlow Peel. Additional survivors include a daughter, Angela (Johnny) Smallwood and a son Michael Earl (Karen Mc Gaughey) Peel, five grandchildren, Ashley (Charles) Vickery, Katie Deering, John Ross Quinn, Tiffani Rae and Morgan Paige Peel, four great grandchildren, Emma Grace and Delaney Vickery, Dylon and Mason Deering, sisters, Mary Cobb and Nancy Burchell, a brother, Elbert Peel, best friends Frankie and Sue Reynolds. He was preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters.
Services will be held 1:00pm Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at Betts & West Funeral Home with Bro. Dean Brewer officiating. Burial will follow in the Camp Nelson National Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-9pm Monday. Bearers will be John Quinn, Johnny Smallwood, Ricky Aldridge, Frankie Reynolds, Roosevelt Blackford and Shorty Willis.
