Roy Douglas Kazee

Roy Douglas Kazee, age 62, husband of Paula Braden Kazee and father of Jillian Marie Kazee and Jessica Leeann Kazee, passed away peacefully in his sleep at his residence in Wilmore, Ky on Wednesday, Nov 29.

He was born on December 14, 1960, in Pikeville, Ky, to Jess Junior Kazee and Mildred Delong Kazee. He was a delivery driver by trade but a drummer/vocalist by heart.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Debra Kazee, and a half brother, Jessy Strehler . He is survived by his his wife, Paula, his daughters, Jillian Kazee( Sovanara Ker) of Sanford, Maine, and Jessica Kazee, of Hamilton, Ohio, a half brother, Thomas Strehler, of Austria, a sister, Betty Kazee, of Danville,Ky, a half sister Sue Starr(Joe) of Pikeville, Ky. , his fur-baby girl Zoey Ashe. And a host of neices and nephews and too many friends and musician buddies to even begin to list.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 15, at Betts and West Funeral Home of Nicholasville Ky. with visitation for the family from 10 am-11am; for everyone else from 11AM-1 PM Service beginning at 1PM with Charles Adkins officiating. Burial will follow in the Spring Hill Cemetery 529 N Greenville St. Harrodsburg, Ky.

Pallbearers will be close friends with members of the Nightflyer Eagles Tribute Band as Honorary Pallbearers.

Arrangements are under the direction of Betts and West Funeral Home of Nicholasville, Ky.
