Roy Lamb

Roy Lamb, 79 of Nicholasville, Kentucky, a native of Crab Orchard, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, June 23rd, 2024 at his residence in Nicholasville, Kentucky. Born April 5,1945 in Crab Orchard, Kentucky, he was the son of the late James and Ella Portwood Lamb. Roy was the owner of R. Lamb Trucking Company which he founded in 1980. He is also the owner of Bluegrass Commercial Properties. Roy was a generous man, who loved his children and grandchildren with his whole heart. He loved all of his family and friends and enjoyed much laughter with everyone as he never met a stranger.  Roy is survived by two sons, Mark (Stephanie) Lamb and Tim (Chrissy) Lamb, seven grandchildren, Kyle (Camryn) Lamb, Morgan (Zack) Savage, Braxton (Kenzie) Lamb, Mylee Lamb, Jacob (Catie) Lamb, Paige (Jacob) Richards, and Hannah (Cody) Little, five great-grandchildren, Adelyn, Cooper, Raiden, Liam and Tate, and one brother, Curt (Tammy) Lamb.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two stillborn granddaughters, Jordan and Jessica Lamb; five sisters, Alice Wren, Mildred Johnson, Edma May Shelton, Lilly Lamb, and Johnetta Irvin; two brothers, Ed Lamb and James Lamb.  Funeral Services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, June 26, 2024 at Betts & West Funeral Home located at 404 N. Main Street, Nicholasville, Kentucky 40356.

Billy Bryant officiating.  Pallbearers will be Kyle Lamb, Braxton Lamb, Jake Lamb, Tim Proffitt, Robbie Lamb, Jimmy Lamb.  Honorary Pallbearers will be Morgan Savage, Mylee Lamb, Paige Richards, and Hannah Little.  Burial will be in Buffalo Springs Cemetery in Stanford, Kentucky. Visitation will be from 5-8 PM on Tuesday, June 25, 2024 at Betts and West Funeral Home.  In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Cops & Kids Program and memorial contributions in memory of Roy Lamb can be mailed to P. O. Box 564, Nicholasville, Kentucky 40356
