Ruth Audrey Hersh Jarvis

Ruth Audrey Hersh Jarvis, 84, of Wilmore, KY, wife of Richard Wayne Jarvis, died Friday, May 14, 2021. She was born in Allentown, Pennsylvania on October 16, 1936 to the late Robert and Edna Burrows Hersh. Ruth graduated from Eastern Nazarene College in Quincy, Massachusetts and obtained a Master’s Degree from Kutztown University in Kutztown, Pennsylvania. Ruth began teaching in Kansas City, Kansas and completed her thirty-seven year career in elementary education with Muhlenberg School District in Laureldale, Pennsylvania. She greatly loved teaching and received much joy from her students and colleagues. Ruth was a lifelong member of the Church of the Nazarene in which she served as a pastor’s wife, Sunday School teacher, and mission trip participant. She is predeceased in death by her beloved husband, Richard, and her brothers Robert Allen and Ricky Armand Hersh. Remaining family members include her daughter, Elizabeth (Timothy) Wooster, son, Stephen (Susie) Jarvis and four grandchildren, Chad Jarvis, Chelsea Jarvis, Luke (Lauren) Wooster and Ruth Wooster.
