Ruth Kestel Mackey

Ruth Kestel Mackey, 80, wife of Robert E. Mackey, of Bell Chase Lane, died January 14, 2008 at her home. Born in Jessamine County, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Flora Buffin Kestel. She is survived by two brothers, David (Christine) Kestel and Fred (Betty) Kestel, two sisters, Helen Baker and Shirley Krywobsloskji, several nephews, nieces, great nieces and great, great nieces. She was preceded in death by five sisters, Freida Lancaster, Pauline Davis, Evalene Sears, Vivian Riester and Alberta Lowe, one brother, Carl Kestel. Services will be 2:30 PM Thursday at Betts & West Funeral Home with Pastor Lonnie Moore officiating. Burial be in the Keene Cemetery. Bearers will be Ernest Lancaster, Dwight Lancaster, Lyall Sears, Douglas Davis, Jeffrey Riester and W.J. Lowe. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4-7 PM at the funeral home.
